The Strangers: prey at night review

Last night I watched The Strangers: prey at night which released in 2018 and is a sequel to The Strangers starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman from 2008. I was a little disappointed with the lack of character development. There was very little reason to really root for the characters to survive. The kills were creative though despite happening fairly quickly. I definitely prefer the first movie in this series because the characters were better developed and gave people a reason to cheer for them to survive. All in all, it was not bad and I can see myself watching it again around Halloween or when I need a good scare in the future,
